   Severin Bossou reports on the 2008-2009 Togo Happy Day Clubs: Severin, our missionary in Togo, West Africa, is responsible for directing and teaching 19 Happy Day Clubs in the capital city, Lome. He and his helpers, Jacques and Yves, travel from school to school teaching the Word of God—just like we do here in Elkhart and LaGrange Counties. He shares monthly reports with us, often noting the conditions for Togolese children and new believers. Here are snippets of his reports: “Pray for those who are saved in this school—they are facing persecution.” VICTORIA SCHOOL “Here the kids are sitting right on the ground. It will be very good with us to buy mats for this club.” ANGELUS SCHOOL “In this area most of the parents are idol worshippers. They oblige their kids to do what they do—please pray for those children to understand that God is the only one who is worthy to be worshipped and to make a decision to do so without facing persecution and through them their parents come to Christ Jesus. Here, too, we assist three orphans, please pray for the orphans.” LE PARFAIT II

Severin and his team are now conducting year end outreach through the culmination of Happy Day Clubs. He reports recent Great News:

“ Here is Togo, we are giving praise to God for everything. We started our end of the year program yesterday. This morning we were at TDU and ANGELUS. Like I told you the Lord is bringing those who were far, far away from Him back to Him. At TDU, there were 9 and 45 at ANGELUS raising hands to receive Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior. Please continue to pray for us.” (Thursday)

“Today is a wonderful day for us. I can assure you that we had a very good moment in all our clubs today: LA PAROLE, LE PARFAIT and LA REFERENCE. We saw the Lord’s hands on that program and there were many asking to receive Jesus---around 100! Praise God! We are glad that today at LA REFERENCE after the service, among the teachers who were helping us keep things in order, two of them came to us to give their lives to Jesus. It was wonderful! All this to inform you that the Lord has answered your prayers.” (Friday)
